Corporate events depend on clear communication and reliable suppliers. Rhythm and Beats is deliberately a boutique, solo-operated DJ service, so when you book me, you're dealing directly with the person who will be DJing your event.
I personally handle the planning, music preparation and event itself rather than taking your booking and assigning another DJ. That means I arrive already familiar with your run sheet, music brief, audience and any requirements we've discussed beforehand.
I've worked across corporate celebrations, end-of-year functions, awards nights, gala events and private business functions throughout Melbourne, adapting the music and approach to suit everything from background arrival music and formal proceedings through to a packed dancefloor later in the night.
Where required, I'll also coordinate with your venue, event organiser or AV team so the DJ component fits smoothly into the wider production.

A corporate event can require several different musical environments in the same night — relaxed background music while guests arrive, something polished through dinner or formalities, and a completely different energy once the dancefloor opens.
My open-format approach allows me to move between decades and genres to suit a diverse corporate audience, rather than locking the event into one particular style of music.
Depending on your audience, that might include R&B and Hip-Hop, funk and disco, 80s and 90s favourites, 2000s classics, pop, house, EDM, Latin and current music.
I'll combine the music brief we develop beforehand with guest requests and what I'm seeing in the room to shape the soundtrack as the event progresses.

I provide DJ entertainment for a wide range of corporate events across Melbourne, including end-of-year and Christmas parties, awards nights, gala dinners, staff celebrations, product launches, networking events and private business functions. The music and approach are tailored to the format of your event, your audience and the atmosphere you want to create.
Can you tailor the music to our company and audience? Absolutely. We'll discuss your audience, preferred genres, event format and any specific music you'd like included or avoided. I can build the soundtrack around your brief while retaining enough flexibility to respond to the room as the event develops.
Can you work from our event run sheet? Yes. Corporate events often involve speeches, presentations, awards, entertainment and other scheduled moments, so I'm comfortable working from a run sheet and coordinating my role around the wider event program. Where required, I can also liaise with your venue, event organiser or AV team before and during the event.
Can you provide music for different parts of the event Yes. I can tailor the music throughout the event, from background music during guest arrival, networking or dinner through to higher-energy music once the formalities finish and the dancefloor opens. We'll discuss the different stages of your event during planning.
Can you DJ for a mixed-age corporate audience? Definitely. My open-format approach allows me to move between different decades and genres to suit a diverse audience. Depending on the crowd, that could include funk and disco, 80s and 90s classics, R&B and Hip-Hop, 2000s favourites, pop, house, EDM, Latin and current music.
Do you provide professional sound and lighting? Yes. I provide professional sound equipment, an elegant DJ booth and tasteful dancefloor lighting appropriate to your venue and event. I arrive early for setup and soundcheck so everything is ready before your guests need the space. If your venue already has an in-house AV system, I can also work with the equipment and technical team where appropriate.
Will you personally DJ our corporate event? Yes. When you book Rhythm and Beats, you're booking me. I personally handle the planning and DJ every event I confirm rather than passing the booking to another DJ. This gives you one point of contact from the initial enquiry through to the event itself.
