This live DJ set was recorded during a vibrant Latin wedding celebration in Templestowe, where the dancefloor was the heart of the reception from the very first reggaeton beats.
Having already DJ'd the couple's engagement party, it was a real privilege to be invited back to celebrate another milestone with them. Their wedding brought together family and friends from different cultural backgrounds, creating the perfect opportunity to build a soundtrack that celebrated both tradition and modern Latin music.
Joining me behind the decks was my good friend DJ Clauds, and together we created a high-energy Latin wedding party that kept the dancefloor full all night. This mix captures the atmosphere of a real Melbourne wedding where reggaeton, Latin pop and timeless party favourites brought everyone together.

Latin weddings have an incredible energy because music isn't simply part of the celebration—it's what brings every generation together.
For this wedding, the brief was clear. The couple wanted an authentic Latin party with plenty of reggaeton, modern Latin hits and crowd favourites that everyone could enjoy. Performing alongside DJ Clauds allowed us to bounce ideas off one another throughout the night, creating fresh transitions and keeping the music evolving as the dancefloor continued to grow.
Rather than working from a rigid playlist, we constantly read the room, responding to the crowd and building the atmosphere song by song. That flexibility is one of the biggest advantages of a live DJ performance, particularly at multicultural weddings where different generations connect with different eras of Latin music.
The Music Journey
The night began by setting a relaxed but upbeat atmosphere before gradually introducing familiar Latin favourites that encouraged the first guests onto the dancefloor.
As the celebration gathered momentum, the music shifted into reggaeton classics from Daddy Yankee and Don Omar before weaving in modern artists like Bad Bunny, Karol G and J Balvin. Blending throwback anthems with today's biggest Latin hits kept the dancefloor feeling fresh while ensuring guests of every age had moments they could connect with.
By the end of the evening, the reception had become one big Latin celebration, with family and friends dancing together, singing every chorus and creating the kind of atmosphere that makes weddings so memorable.
Crowd Moments
One of the things I'll always remember about this wedding was the energy on the dancefloor. As soon as the reggaeton classics started dropping, guests responded immediately, creating an atmosphere that never really slowed down for the rest of the night.
Watching multiple generations share the dancefloor is one of my favourite parts of performing at Latin weddings. Younger guests were singing along to today's biggest hits, while timeless classics had everyone joining in together, creating those unforgettable moments that only live music can produce.
Sharing the night with DJ Clauds also made the experience even more enjoyable. Going back-to-back behind the decks kept the music dynamic and allowed us to continually surprise the crowd while maintaining the flow of the party.
