As dinner speeches came to a close, I gradually shifted the energy towards the dancefloor with familiar sing-along favourites before moving into a run of unforgettable 2010s pop anthems.

The beauty of this celebration was seeing multiple generations enjoying the same music together. From family members to lifelong friends, everyone found themselves singing along, dancing and reliving songs that had become part of their own memories over the past decade. Throughout the evening I continued reading the room, adjusting the tempo and song choices to keep the dancefloor moving while maintaining the relaxed and fun atmosphere the birthday girl had envisioned.
